The HMWSSB stated that TGTRANSCO will stop power supply to the 132 kV substations at Nasarlapalli from 10 am to 4 pm. Therefore, the six hour shutdown will affect water supply across several O and M divisions in the city. The notice said consumers in these areas may face partial disruption until power and pumping operations resume. It also confirmed that the shutdown is required to complete the replacement process safely.

Meanwhile, the board listed the affected areas under Krishna Phases 1, 2 and 3. These include Charminar, Vinay Nagar, Bojagutta, Red Hills, Narayanaguda, SR Nagar and Maredpally. The supply will also be hit in Riyasat Nagar, Kukatpally, Saheb Nagar, Hayath Nagar, Sainikpuri and Uppal. Further, areas like Hafeezpet, Rajendranagar, Manikonda, Boduppal and Meerpet fall under the disruption zone. The input confirmed all these localities without noting any exceptions.

The HMWSSB advised residents in the affected zones to store water in advance. It also asked them to use water carefully until the normal supply is restored. The press release, issued on Monday, stressed the importance of the maintenance activity. However, the notice did not mention any alternative arrangements for consumers.

Later, the board said the disruption is temporary and part of routine system upkeep. It did not provide details of when the pumping operations will fully stabilise. The announcement remained limited to the shutdown period and the affected areas.
