Driver Holds JAC Convener Responsible For Suicides, Lodges Complaint With Police

Hyderabad, Oct.25 (Maxim News): Apparently vexed with indefinite strike launched by TSRTC employees unionsJAC and suicides by displaced drivers, an RTC driver Koreti Raju of Kukatapally bus depot on Friday lodged a complaint against JAC convener Ashwathama Reddy on Friday alleging that he was misguiding the RTC employees and continuing the strike putting their livelihood and lives at stake.

In his two-page complaint to the Kukatpally police, Raju alleged that Ashwathama Reddy had induced the bus men to go on strike with impossible demand like merger of the RTC with the State government. He also held the JAC leader responsible for the suicides of RTC employees. He also said the Chief Minister had given a chance to the employees to return to work, but Ashwathama Reddy was still misleading them for the reasons best known to him.

Pointing out many issues in his complaint to the police, Raju alleged that in the name of strike the JAC convener has been misleading the crew and organizing dharnas at bus depots causing irreparable loss to the poor employees. Had the JAC leaders held talks with the RTC management across the table, the continuous suicides by depressed drivers would have been avoided and the situation could not have worsened. If the JAC leaders stick to their guns on their main demand, the entire RTC employees and their families would be on the roads, he bemoaned.

Stating that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao called upon the striking employees to return to work keeping their demands aside, complainant Raju suggested to the RTC crew not to lose the chance and return to work in the interest of their families, their children and general public. (Maxim News)
