Drug Control Officials Seized Illegal Stored Drugs From Medical Shops

Hyderabad, Nov 9 (Maxim News): Drug Control Officials conducted surprise checks at many places in Telangana.  Officials conducted surprise checks in many medical shops in Sangareddy and Adilabad districts and seized illegally stored drugs.

Officials said that prohibited drugs were also seized during these inspections.  Officials found a stock of medicine without licenses in a medical shop in the JP Colony of Patancheru.

Drug control officials said that 54 types of medicines, antibiotics, steroids, anti-diabetic and anti-hypertensive medicines were seized.  Officials said that drugs worth Rs. 1.51 lakhs were seized during these inspections.

Authorities have seized Ayurvedic medicine being sold as a treatment for high blood pressure in Ichoda in Adilabad district.  Officials said that a case has been registered against the managers of unlicensed medical shops for illegally storing medicines.  (Maxim News)
