Dumping of construction waste in the unauthorized areas will result in legal action: Commissioner

Hyderabad, August 28: GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose has directed the officials not to hesitate to take legal action if construction and demolition waste is dumped in unauthorized places. The commissioner visited many colonies in Mehidipatnam circle on Monday and supervised the sanitation and development works.

Speaking on this occasion, the Commissioner ordered the officials to take legal action along with fine as per GHMC Act in case of dumping construction and demolition waste on roads, footpaths, canals, ponds and unauthorized places. He said that C&D recycling plants have been set up in Fathullaguda, Malkajgiri, Shamshabad and Tumukunta on all sides of Hyderabad.

The commissioner said that some circles have been allotted to each plant and those who need them will be taken if the plant contacts them. Mehdipatnam, Karwan, Goshamahal, Jubilee Hills, Khairatabad circle in Khairatabad zone, Chandrayanagutta, Falak Nama, Charminar, Rajendranagar circle, Kukat Pally, Alwal, Malkajigiri, Mushirabad, Secunderabad, Begumpet circle in Secunderabad zone in Charminar zone for construction waste collection. lame , Shamshabad plant contact WhatsApp number 73300 00203 or call toll free number 1800-203-0033 and they will come home and collect the waste, the commissioner said.

The commissioner asked the city residents to cooperate in keeping the city of Hyderabad clean. In this regard, the field level officials asked the corporators to explain to the public. Besides, the officials were also ordered to seize the vehicles illegally transporting construction waste.

On this occasion, the Commissioner inspected Mehidipatnam Circle Srinagar, Pillar No. 55, Vijayanagar Colony, St. Ann’s School, Yen MDC Road, Chacha Nehru Park, Hamida Nagar, Muslim Cemetery.
