Eatala Rajender To Attend Before Kaleshwaram Inquiry Commission
Hyderabad, May 21 (Maxim News): BJP Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender has made it clear that he will attend the Kaleshwaram Inquiry Commission 100 percent. However, he said that he has not received any notices so far. However, he said that he came to know about the notices being sent to him through the media.
After receiving the notices, he said that he will discuss the matter in the party and move forward as per the decision of the high command.
In a chit chat with the media person in shamirpet, today, MP Etala Rajender challenged CM Revanth Reddy by saying that the government is yours. You can conduct any inquiry you want.
Etala Rajender lashed out at CM Revanth Reddy, saying that KCR made the same mistake in the case of Devaryamjal lands in the past. You are doing it today. If you threaten us, we will be afraid. On this occasion, MP Etala Rajender reminded them that their party is in power at the Center. He said that your entire agenda is in their hands. MP Etala gave a stern warning to CM Revanth Reddy, saying that he will not back down if he talks to your misguided little guys.
Medigadda Barrage was built during the KCR government as part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. However, several pillars of this barrage collapsed in 2023. The then Opposition Congress party made this issue its propaganda weapon. As part of the election campaign in 2024, the Congress party promised to conduct an inquiry into the construction of this barrage with a retired Supreme Court judge if they come to power. In that election, the Telangana voters gave the Congress party the crown. With this, the Congress government under the leadership of Revanth Reddy came to an end.
Later, the Revanth Reddy government appointed an inquiry commission headed by retired Supreme Court judge PC Ghosh on this issue. As part of the inquiry, the commission questioned several senior officials and staff. Many also voluntarily attended the inquiry and explained various matters to Justice PC Ghosh. In this context, the commission issued notices to CM KCR and Harish Rao and Etala Rajender, who served as ministers in his cabinet.
The commission has made it clear in the notices that KCR should appear before the commission on June 5. Harish Rao on June 6 and Etala Rajender on June 9. It is known that Harish Rao and Etala Rajender served as the Minister of Irrigation and Finance in the KCR cabinet. On the other hand, the term of Justice PC Ghosh Commission has recently ended. However, the state government has announced that it is extending it by another two months. However, it is understood that the report related to this inquiry is almost ready. (Maxim News)
