On Wednesday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued another summons to Kejriwal to appear before their hearing on February 2. This is the fourth time that ED has summoned him in this case.

Earlier, the ED had summoned Kejriwal on January 13 to appear before them on January 18. However, Kejriwal was absent from the ED hearing, believing that these summons were illegal and politically motivated. Kejriwal also questioned the timing of the summons for the ED investigation as the Lok Sabha elections will be held in a few months.

Meanwhile, an AAP leader denied that the BJP intended to arrest Kejriwal and stop the Lok Sabha election campaign and asked what was the purpose of sending the summons when the ED stated in writing that the Chief Minister was not an accused in the case. he said that it is not clear whether the ED wants to produce Kejriwal as a witness or as a suspect.

It may be recalled that the ED has sent summons to Kejriwal on November 2, December 22, and January 13, AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh are already in Judicial custody in this case. (Maxim News)
