Edu. Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy Inaugrates Anurag University
Hyderabad: Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy on Monday inaugurated the Anurag University at Venkatapur of Ghatkesar here.
Special Chief Secretary to Government (Education) Chitra Ramachandran, Cyient executive chairman BVR Mohan Reddy, Anurag University chairman and MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and Anurag University CEO Neelima were present.
In a message, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said the long-cherished dreams and aspirations of the people of Telangana could turn into a reality only with quality education. He expressed hope that Anurag University would evolve into one of the best universities in the country.
IT Minister KT Rama Rao said new courses should be started to meet the industry requirements. He expressed confidence that the team at Anurag would succeed in making education qualitative and job market-oriented.
Speaking on the occasion, Sabitha Indra Reddy said that the CM’s vision was to make education in Telangana qualitative and accessible to all. At the school level, the government was concentrating on more residential schools, while in higher education, quality and benchmarking were necessary for any institution to compete at the international level, she said.
Rajeshwar Reddy, talking about the university’s flexibility in starting new courses in emerging areas, designing syllabi and in having a multi-disciplinary education system, said the students of the Anurag Group of Institutions had got 98 percent placement and that the institutions were accredited by NBA, NAAC, and had got NIRF ranking.
Anurag University Chancellor Dr. UB Desai, Vice-Chancellor Dr. S Ramachandram and Registrar Prof. Syeda Sameen Fatima also spoke.
