Eight Infected With New Variant Of Corona XBB.1.5 Reported

Hyderabad, Jan 6 (Maxim News): A case of a new variant of Corona has been registered in the State of Telangana. A recent case of the dangerous Omicron XBB.1.5 variant has come to light. On Thursday, 8 people were infected with the new variant in the country.

Apart from China, Corona cases are increasing in many countries of the world. In the background of emerging new variants, the Central and State governments have been alerted to deal with Corona. Currently, there are 60 active cases in the state, but there is nothing to be afraid of in this variant, the health department said that there is a 99.5 percent recovery rate.

The first case of Omicron XBB.1.5 in the country was reported from Gujarat. Later, cases of this variant were reported in the states of Telangana and Chhattisgarh. So far 3 cases have been reported in Gujarat, one each in Karnataka and Rajasthan. With this variant, the number of cases in China and the USA will increase. Researchers warn that this variant spreads 120 times faster than Omicron BQ.1 (Maxim News)
