Ek Shaam Charminar ke Naam: Here are events lined up

Hyderabad: The immensely popular Sunday Funday at Tank Bund will have a different version at the historic Charminar from this Sunday.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police will put in place restrictions at the historic place between 5 pm to midnight every weekend.

A performance by police band at 7:30 pm, Deccani Mazahiya Mushaira at 8:30 pm, free distribution of saplings by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, and more kids-oriented activities lined up as part of the event. Laad Bazaar will be opened until midnight.

The special Chief Secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department of the State Arvind Kumar , Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Malakpet MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala and others visited the Charminar and discussed about the arrangements to be made for holding the program.

They also discussed about the parking arrangements to be made for the visitors of the Charminar on the scheduled day. In his tweet Arvind kumar said that their objective was to hold a traffic free and pedestrian friendly program at the historic monument. “ Our effort is to make it a pleasant experience for all,” he said in his tweet.
