Hyderabad, Jan. 26 (Maxim News): Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy asked officials concerned to encourage farmers for change of crops. He directed the officials for submission of an annual plan of report for 2021.
During a visit to the Public Gardens here after participating in 71st Republic Day celebrations here,
the minister held a review on Horticulture and Sericulture. The minister stressed the need for increasing mango exports from rural areas of the state. “Increase greenery, bamboo that produces more oxygen and ensure better environment for people. The State government has been ideal to other States in terms of giving support to farmers through various schemes”, he added.
“Ours is a farmers-friendly government and gave priority for farmers welfare and set up crop. Colonies”, he said and asked the farmers to increase cultivation of vegetables, bamboo stick, silk, fruits, vegetables and others that give better income. He instructed the farmers to educate people on alternative crops and different commercial crops that will get more income. “Set up farmers panels and officials take steps to grow greenery”, the minister said. He also asked the officials to encourage Mulberry, Srigandham, vegetables and others to get increased revenue. (Maxim News)
