Etala Urges Oppn Parties Not To Create Fear Psychosis In people On Viral Fevers
Hyderabad, Sept.15 (Maxim News): Minister for Medical, Health & Family Welfare Etela Rajender on Sunday admitted that the State was affected by viral fevers in the ongoing monsoon season.
Making a statement on the issue in the House, Etala appealed to the Opposition leaders to desist from making baseless allegations against the State government on the issue. He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, who was committed to Healthy Telangana, had given permission to fill 12,289 posts in the Medical & Health department in the State. The State government set up a recruitment board for filling 2,272 posts. He also assured the members that they would take up recruitment drive for the remaining posts at the earliest.
The Health Minister also urged the rival political parties not to create fear psychosis among the people in the State about the viral fevers. He said leaves of all doctors in the State were suspended keeping in view of the intensity of the viral fevers in the State. He said they were holding evening Out-Patient clinics to serve more number of patients. Etala said four new government colleges were set up in the State after the formation of the Telangana State. He also said institutional deliveries in the government hospitals in the State have gone up from 30 percent to 65 percent due to the introduction of schemes like KCR kits and so on in the State.
