A man died by suicide in Hyderabad after allegedly facing harassment from his wife, who works as an Excise Circle Inspector. The incident took place in the Neredmet area of the city. Before ending his life, the man wrote a suicide note stating that his wife’s harassment was the reason behind his decision.

According to the information available, the deceased was identified as Srinivas. He was a native of Ramakrishnapur in Mancherial district. However, he was working in a private job in Hyderabad and living in Neredmet. The incident has drawn attention due to the allegations mentioned in the suicide note.

Srinivas married Sattapalli Jyoti in 2013. After their marriage, he reportedly supported and encouraged her in her career. Later, Jyoti secured a job as an SS in the Excise Department. However, problems began to emerge in their relationship after she joined the department.

According to the details provided, disputes started within the family after Jyoti began working in the department. Over time, she allegedly distanced herself from Srinivas. Later, when she was promoted to the position of Circle Inspector in the Excise Department, the situation reportedly worsened.

Reports indicate that she stopped visiting Srinivas’ residence after the promotion. As a result, the couple had been living separately for the past four months. The distance between them continued to grow during this period.

Meanwhile, Jyoti filed a dowry harassment case against Srinivas. According to the details in the report, she also called him to the police station and allegedly threatened him using her influence. These developments reportedly caused severe mental stress to Srinivas.

Suicide note mentions mental torture by wife

Family members stated that Srinivas felt deeply distressed due to the situation. In his suicide note, he reportedly mentioned the harassment by his wife and the emotional pressure he was experiencing. Soon after writing the letter, he died by suicide.

Later, the deceased’s brother, Sivakrishna, approached the police and filed a complaint regarding the incident. Based on this complaint, police registered a case and began an investigation.

Officials are now examining the circumstances surrounding the death and the claims mentioned in the suicide note. The police are expected to look into the allegations raised by the family and gather further details as part of the investigation.
