Exhibition on Maulana Azad inaugurated at MANUU

Hyderabad, Nov 9: An exhibition on Maulana Azad and His Age, dedicated to the first education minister of Independent India, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad was inaugurated at Centre for Urdu Culture Studies, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Campus, Hyderabad. Exhibition will continue till November 11.

The exhibition is part of ongoing Azad Day Celebrations.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, inaugurated the exhibition in which rare photographs, books written by Maulana Azad and books written on him are displayed. Prof. Hasan paid rich tributes to the legendary freedom fighter and reminded that the institutions established by Maulana Azad were still playing an important role in the education system of the country.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, OSD, Prof. Syed Alim Ashraf, chairperson Azad Day Celebrations 2022, Dr. Zair Hussain controller of examinations also grace the occasion. Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Dr. Ahamad Khan, Dr. Ameena Tahseen, Dr. Firoz Alam, Dr. Qaiser Ahmed and a large number of staff and students were present.

Mr. Habib Ahamad, Museum Curator is the Coordinator of Exhibition and Dr. Md. Zubair Ahmad is Co-cordinator. Mr. Meraj Ahmed- Assistant professor & Theatre personality assisted in organizing the event.
