Extension Lecture and Plantation Drive held at MANUU

Hyderabad: “Inclusive education strategies aim to create an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and included. By implementing these strategies, institutions can ensure that all students have equal access to quality education and opportunities for success. These are the views expressed by Prof. Sara Begum, Dean, Faculty of Education, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi while delivering the extension lecture (blended mode) “Guidelines for Inclusive Education and Addressing Cross Disability in an Inclusive Classroom”. The School of Education and Training (SE&T), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), School of Education and Training (SE&T) today organized the lecture as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

She highlighted the importance of inclusive education strategies, community participation, policies about the inclusivity and Cross-disability.

Prof. M. Vanaja, Dean, School of Education and Training spoke about the relevance of inclusion in education and the need for guidelines for inclusion in the classroom. Prof. Shaheen Shaikh, Head, Department of Education and Training delivered closing remarks.

Dr. Ashwani, Program Coordinator proposed vote of thanks. The Assistant Professors – Dr. Ashraf Nawaz introduced the guest speaker and Dr. V.S. Sumi convened the programme.

Earlier, a plantation drive under the campaign ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ was organized by the School of Education & Training yesterday. Prof. M. Vanaja inaugurated the programme by planting a sapling. Prof. Shaheen Shaikh, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Prof. Mohd Moshahid and Prof. Viquar unnisa also planted saplings in the lawn of Education & Training building. Dr. Ashwani, Dr. Muzaffar Hussain Khan, Dr. Farhat Ali, Dr. Athar Hussain and other teachers were also present. Large number of students also participated in the plantation drive. Dr. Najma Begum and Dr. Ashraf Nawaz coordinated the event.
