Karimnagar, May 25: Family members and residents of Sadasivpalli staged a protest at Algunur Chowk in Karimnagar on Monday demanding clarity over the suspicious death of a youth identified as Jasthi Srinidh (22).
The protesters demanded that police reveal the facts behind the incident and identify those responsible for Srinidh’s death.
Vehicular traffic on the Hyderabad and Warangal routes was severely affected as protesters sat on the road and blocked movement for some time.
Protest Ends After Police Assurance
Police personnel rushed to the protest site and held discussions with the agitating family members and residents.
Officials assured the protesters that a proper investigation would be conducted into the case. Following the assurance, the protesters withdrew their agitation.
According to police, Srinidh was a native of Sadasivpalli village in Manakondur mandal.
He was reportedly found hanging under suspicious circumstances near Ramakrishna Colony in Thimmapur mandal on Sunday.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
