Hyderbaad: A farmer from Jogulamba Gadwal district kept security personnel at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office on tenterhooks here on Tuesday after he allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poison.
He was shifted to hospital by the police, where his condition was stated to be out of danger.
The man, identified as Mallesh, a native of Alur village of Gattu mandal in Jogulamba Gadwal, had reached the Camp Office in the morning, and had straightaway attempted suicide, as per initial reports. While preliminary indications are that he was facing financial distress, the exact reasons are still being ascertained.
According to S Ravinder, Inspector, Panjagutta, a security personnel saw Mallesh vomiting and alerted other police personnel, who rushed him to the Gandhi Hospital. He is under treatment now, with doctors saying that his condition was stable.
The Panjagutta police are investigating.
