Farmers Loan Waiver Process To Start From July 18

Hyderabad, July 17 (Maxim News):  The loan waiver process for the farmers of Telangana will start tomorrow (July 18). Loan waiver will be done to the farmers whose debts are under Rs. one lakh, it will be credited to the farmer’s accounts at 4 pm. About 11.50 lakh farmers are going to get a loan waiver tomorrow.

The state government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will deposit Rs. 6,800 crore cash in farmers’ accounts on the first day. The second time is ready to deposit for another phase of loan waiver to 6.36 lakh farmers who do not have ration cards, this process will continue till August 15. Revanth Reddy has made it clear that he will waive the debt of those who do not have a ration card.

Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said that agriculture officials will go to the houses of farmers who do not have ration cards and select the eligible ones. The government said that there is no loan waiver for people with a salary of lakhs. It is said that there are 17 thousand accounts of people with a salary of more than Rs. 1 lakh. He said that as part of the loan waiver, cash of Rs. 31 thousand crores will be deposited in the farmers’ accounts.  (Maxim News)
