This discovery came after a man and his two sons were caught selling ganja chocolates and ganja powder at their store in Jagathgirigutta in Hyderabad. The main culprit Majoj Kumar Agarwal and his sons, Murari Kumar Agarwal and Nitish Kumar Agarwal from West Bengal, were accused of distributing Ganga in Hyderabad. Their illegal activities were influenced by a relative who sold ganja-infused chocolates in West Bengal.  During a raid on Jayasri Traders on April 15, authorities seized 4 kg of ganja powder and 160 packets of ganja chocolates.  The trio’s involvement was solely driven by profit, as the substances they sold offered minimal psychoactive effects.

Contrary to popular belief, ganja milkshake powder, known as ‘choora’ lacks the primary psychoactive constituent of ganja, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).  This is because most of the THC is concentrated at the top of the cannabis plant, while the powder derived from the lower parts lacks potency.  In their pursuit of profit, the accused collaborated with a manufacturer in Indore to use low-THC choora in making milkshake powder.
