The exact cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed. However, an electrical short circuit is suspected. The Rajendranagar police stated that the fire started in scrap dumped at the backside of the service centre. Therefore, officials are treating the incident with caution until the investigation is complete. Fire department officials and police teams are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area to trace how the fire began.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad has recently witnessed two major fire incidents. One such incident occurred in a building near Nampally Railway Station. That fire accident resulted in the death of five individuals. Rescue workers retrieved five bodies from the rubble of a furniture store located in the building. It is alleged that the store owner was using the basement illegally to store furniture. Officials suspect that a short circuit or a cigarette may have triggered that fire.
