Fire Broke Out in Building in Bahadurpura, Residents Escape Narrowly
Hyderabad, 02 February 2025: A major fire broke out in a residential building in Bahadurpura’s Kishanbagh area late Saturday night, forcing several residents to escape in panic. Fortunately, everyone made it out safely.
The fire started in the cellar of the four-story building just after midnight and quickly spread to the upper floors, filling the entire building with thick smoke.
As the smoke spread, residents tried to rush downstairs but couldn’t get out due to the heavy smoke. Trapped inside, they ran to the first-floor balcony and shouted for help.
Locals Rescue Trapped Residents
Locals who saw the residents in distress acted quickly. They brought ladders, broke windows, and helped rescue those trapped inside before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters faced difficulties in putting out the fire as the building had no open space around it, making movement difficult.
“We used five fire tenders to control the blaze. The building had no fire safety measures, and the lack of space made our job even harder. After a lot of effort, we finally brought the fire under control,” said Station Fire Officer K. Surender Reddy.
Bahardurpura MLA Mohd Mubeen Visit
The police helped firefighters with the rescue and managed the crowd that had gathered. Bahadurpura MLA Mohd Mubeen visited the site and spoke with officials about the incident.
Thankfully, there were no casualties, but the fire has raised serious concerns about safety measures in residential buildings.
