Hyderabad, May 21 (Maxim News): Tension enveloped the press club at Somajiguda when a group of people belonging to Telangana State Social Welfare Educational Residential Schools attacked National SC, ST Protection Committee leader Karne Srisailam addressing mediapersons on Tuesday. The attackers trespassed into the media conference hall and started attacking mediapersons, cameramen and also damaged their equipment. When the Press Club officials accosted the intruders, the latter indulged in heated arguments.
While talking to the mediapersons earlier, Karne Srisailam alleged that SC students in the residential schools were being forcibly converted into Christianity after tonsuring their heads at the behest of school secretary RS Praveen Kumar. He also alleged that the mercenaries of Praveen Kumar were committing atrocities in the SW residential schools.
ABVP activists condemn attack
The ABVP activists on Tuesday condemned the attack on Dalit leader Karne Srisailam allegedly by a group of people belonging to Telangana State Social Welfare Educational Residential School at the Somajiguda press club.
ABVP State secretary Ankiran alleged that the attack took place with the active support of the school secretary RS Praveen Kumar. He also alleged that attackers had taken contracts in Hyderabad, Adilabad, Nizamabad residential schools and were cheating unemployed youth in the name of jobs at their residential schools. He said they had lodged a complaint against the atrocities of the accused with the Governor recently and demanded that the State government take action against them immediately. (Maxim News)
