Five IPS Officers Promoted to Director General Rank

Hyderabad, Aug 8 (Maxim News): In a significant move, five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the 1994 batch of the Telangana cadre have been promoted to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP) today.

The promoted officers are:

  • Kothakota Sreenivas Reddy: Retained as Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, with the new rank.
  • B. Shivdhar Reddy: Appointed Director General, Intelligence, Telangana.
  • Abhilasha Bisht: Continued as Director of the RBVRR Telangana State Police Academy and will also serve as in charge of DG Training.
  • Dr. Soumya Mishra: Retained as Director of Prisons and Correctional Services.
  • Shikha Goel: Remains as Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and will also oversee the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau.

Abhilasha Bisht’s promotion is contingent on the confirmation of the allocation of members of service to the Telangana cadre.

The promotions were approved by the Governor.
