Five PFI functionaries arrested by NIA in AP

Amaravathi, September 23: As part of the raids, NIA officials have arrested five persons in Andhra Pradesh. Abdul Waheed Ali, Shaik Jafrullah, Abdul Rahim, and Riyaz Ahmed of Guntur, and Abdul Waris of Kurnool, who have links with PFI, its affiliated organization Rihab India Foundation, and the Social Democratic party of India were arrested. Abdul Warris was arrested in Hyderabad.

The NIA officials have conducted raids in PFI offices in Guntur and Kurnool after Wednesday midnight.

NIA issued notices to PFI Guntur district chief Yusuf to attend the inquiry in Hyderabad on September 29. The officials have seized pamphlets, minutes book, and bylaw books from Warris house in Kurnool. NIA came to know that Warris has conducted training classes for PFI members in Nizamabad.

The NIA officials have seized the PFI office at Chandrayanagutta in Hyderabad and issued notices to the members to attend the inquiry.
