Hyderabad, July 23 (Maxim News): In the Telugu states, the projects in the Krishna River basin are getting heavily flooded, 23 thousand cusecs of flood water are coming to the Srisailam project due to the release of water from the Jurala project. The current water level in Srisailam reservoir is 808.9 feet.
so far 40 thousand cusecs of flood water has reached Jurala. While the full capacity of Jurala is 9.657 TMCs, the current water storage is 8.750 TMCs, and 25,000 cusecs of water is being released downstream.
117 megawatts of electricity will be produced in three units of the upper Jurala hydroelectric station. 120 megawatts of electricity will be generated in three units at the lower Jurala hydroelectric station. (Maxim News)
