Forest Officer Injured as Villagers Attack During Timber Raid in Adilabad
January 5, Adilabad/Hyderabad (Maxim News): In Ichchoda’s Kesavapatnam, tension was high. The forest officers were attacked by the people. A cordon-on-search was carried out by forest officials in response to reports of illicit stockpiles. In this regard, numerous homes contained a significant quantity of wooden logs and furnishings.

As the officers seized the wooden logs, the villagers fought them. They wrecked their trucks and attacked them. The villagers attacked and injured a beat officer. A sizable police force arrived in the village after receiving information from forest officials. Without allowing the situation to spiral out of control, the police seized control of the village. The village is currently seeing police picketing.
Since its inception, Kesavapatnam village in the Adilabad district has been associated with timber smuggling. Timber smuggling is a major source of income for many residents of this town. However, after learning that the village had a substantial amount of timber stock, teams of forest inspectors visited.

The altercation occurred as the houses’ lumber was being confiscated. The people claimed that the officers had broken into their homes, acted impolitely, and turned against them.
The officers should not enter their village, according to the inhabitants. Nevertheless, the locals disregarded their repeated warnings not to smuggle timber. In this case, the officials claimed that the villagers unexpectedly attacked them when they were performing a car-on-search. The confiscated timber is being transported to the forest office by the officials. The villagers are unsure about how they will react to it, though.
