Kamareddy, June 6: Former Nizamabad Urban MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta narrowly escaped a major road accident in Kamareddy district on Saturday. The accident occurred on the national highway near Baswapur in Biknoor mandal while he was travelling from Hyderabad to Nizamabad with his family members.
According to police, a lorry allegedly hit Gupta’s car from behind. The impact caused the vehicle to lose control and crash into the road divider.

Police said the car was dragged for nearly 50 meters after the collision. Despite the severity of the accident, Ganesh Gupta and his family members escaped without serious injuries.
Local residents and motorists rushed to the spot and assisted in rescue efforts immediately after the crash. Police later arrived at the scene and assessed the situation.
Preliminary findings suggest that the accident occurred due to the negligent driving of the lorry driver. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
The news of the accident prompted concern among political leaders and supporters from Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts, who contacted associates to inquire about the former MLA’s well being.
