Former MP Gaddam Venkata Swamy joined BJP today. The leader along with BJP state president Laxman flew down to Delhi and joined the party in the presence of the party national chief and union minister Amit Shah, Union minister Kishan Reddy, BJP national secretary Ram Madhav and MP Dharmapuri Arvind.
Venkata Swamy who was in the TRS party had aspired for Peddapally Lok Sabha ticket but was denied. Ever since then, rumours were rife that Swamy will join BJP. He also met Amit Shah earlier but had not announced his joining into the party.
After his meet with Amit Shah, Congress party approached him and invited to join their party. However, Venkata Swamy joined BJP today.
