Kapil Dev, the former Team India skipper, has suffered a heart attack. The legendary cricketer was admitted at Fortis hospital in Delhi. Reports suggest that Hariyana Hurricane underwent angioplasty.
It is shocking news for the Indian cricket fans and the entire cricketing community. The 61-year-old Indian cricketer put India on the world map, when under his captaincy, India defeated the mighty West Indies in the 1983 World Cup final in Lord. It was the first-ever World Cup trophy for India. Kapil Dev represented India in 131 Tests, scoring 5,248 runs. He has picked up 434 wickets.
