Formula E-Car Race Case | Hyderabad, Sept. 10: The investigation into alleged irregularities in the Formula E-Car Race has entered a critical stage, with the Telangana government set to submit the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) report to the Governor today.
The ACB, which has been probing the case since December 2024, is seeking the Governor’s sanction to prosecute senior leaders and officials of the previous government.
According to official information, the ACB is prepared to prosecute four others along with BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao.
Once the Governor grants permission, the investigating agency will file a formal charge sheet in the case.

The accused named in the case include K.T. Rama Rao, former Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar, former HMDA Chief Engineer B.L.N. Reddy, Ace Nxt Gen Pvt’s Kiran Rao, and Formula E Operations (FEO).
The ACB’s move to seek prosecution sanction highlights the seriousness of the charges and the involvement of senior political and bureaucratic figures. Officials confirmed that the charge sheet will be filed immediately after the Governor’s approval, making today’s submission a decisive moment in the case.
With the alleged irregularities linked to a high-profile international sporting event, the case has attracted wide public and political attention.
