Hyderabad: New Town Charitable Trust (NTCT), Hyderabad, successfully conducted a Free Eye Testing, Spectacles Distribution and Eye Health Awareness Camp at Government High School, Vijaynagar Colony, Hyderabad, on 11 February 2026.
A total of 380 students were screened during the camp. Free eye testing services were provided, student health details were recorded, and required medicines were distributed. During the screening, it was observed that nearly 80% of students were suffering from vision-related problems. NTCT has initiated preparation of powered spectacles, which will be distributed free of cost in a special programme scheduled next week at the school.

Senior Eye Surgeon Dr. Abdul Khadar addressed students about eye care, healthy food habits, and prevention of vision problems. The programme concluded successfully at 4:30 PM with support from medical teams, school staff, and NTCT volunteers.
The efforts of NTCT, especially Secretary Mr. Shajiuddin Hyderi and Treasurer Mr. Niyaz Ahmed, were appreciated by Deputy Education Officer Smt. P. Parameshwaramma and Head Master Shri V. Krishna Murthy.
