Speaking to the media in Khammam, Ponguleti strongly condemned KTR’s comments against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and other senior leaders. He said BRS leaders had realised an electoral defeat and were reacting in desperation.

Ponguleti recalled that KTR had earlier challenged rivals during the Jubilee Hills election but suffered defeat there.

Ponguleti said a similar outcome awaited the BRS in the municipal polls, adding that Congress would win over 80 percent of municipalities.

He alleged that BRS leaders continued to indulge in phone tapping. Ponguleti questioned how details of his conference calls were being cited by opponents, unless illegal surveillance was still taking place. He said the government would conduct inquiries to identify remaining devices and take legal action.

The minister said Congress had focused on welfare and development over the past two years. He cited job recruitment, farm loan waivers, and farmer support schemes as key achievements under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership.
