FTCCI organized A Walkathon With The Theme “Health for All”, Involving Many Prominent Doctors Of The City And Hospitals

Hyderabad, July 14, 2024…. The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), a 107-year-old most vibrant trade and industrial body for the first time organized a Walkathon with the theme Health for All: Healthy Telangana and Happy Telangana on Sunday morning for 3 km.

 The uniqueness of the walkathon was the involvement of the city’s most sought-after doctors and hospitals.  Padma Shri Dr Gokhale, Dr Prashant Garg Director, L V Prasad Eye Institute; Dr Sreenivasulu, Director MNJ Institute of Oncology; Dr Dwarkanath. President-Elect Indian Medical Association; Dr Srikanth Babu, Chief Govt Ayurveda College; Dr Bookhari, Chief Govt Unani College; Dr Naresh, Asin Spine Hospital; Dr Veena and several others participated.

Also, several other professionals Dr Subodh, Dean, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI); Meela Jayadev, President of FTCCI, Suresh Singhal, Ravi Kumar, Vice Presidents of FTCCI, Ajay Mishra IAS Retd; several past Presidents of FTCCI-Bhaskar Reddy, Srinivas Ayyadevara, Anil Agarwal, Anil Reddy, CEO Sangeetha, Mrs Veena, Secretary participated.   

On the whole, 250 people participated in the walk. Several members of the Vasavi club, Decathlon, staff of FTCCI, and their vendors participated in the walk. 

The walk which began at Rotary Park on Hussain Sagar Lake, went up to the Secretariat and returned to the place it was started.

If you want to run your business efficiently and effectively you must be healthy. So, if you want to run your business, you must better walk, run or ride and keep fit, Shekhar Agarwal, Chair of the Health Committee of FTCCI said.  Healthy people run healthy industries, he added.

The Walkathon was organized by the Health Committee of FTCCI.

Make every STEP count on the journey to a healthier you.  The Nation begins with us said Meela Jayadev, President of FTCCI.  Walks like these are very important and must be organized at regular intervals to encourage industrialists, people working in the industries in particular and the public in general to lead an active lifestyle he added.

Dr. Srinivasulu, Director, MNJ Institute of Oncology said, keep fit, keep doctors away.

Padma Shri Dr Gokhale said nothing can be achieved without getting sweat. 

Dr. Prashanth Garg said walking for 30 minutes a day or more on most days of the week is a great way to improve or maintain  overall health

Dr Naresh of Asian Spine Hospital said, make your health the top wealth.  Let your spine rest well. Keep your spine straight.

Stress and health do not go together. Laugh and check your stress levels, Shekhar Agarwal added and made the participants do laughing therapy for a couple of minutes.

Suresh Singhal, Senior Vice President of FTCCI said if health is well everything will be well.
