Gaajanan Mallya Inspects Central Railway Hospital

Hyderabad, April 13 (Maxim News): SCR General Manager Gajanan Mallya inspected Central Railway Hospital, Lallaguda, Secunderabad on Monday to examine various facilities and preparedness of the medical staff in the wake of COVID-19. He was accompanied by Dr. Srikanth Mahapatra, Medical Director and other senior doctors during the inspection.

Gajanan Mallya during his visit, took stock about the facilities being developed in Central Hospital, Lallaguda for extending treatment to COVID patients. He also took the details of the availability of various medical needs like masks, ventilators, Private Personal Equipment’s (PPE) and advised to expedite the recruitment procedure for engaging additional doctors and paramedical staff on contract basis. Later, he inspected pharmacy, stores, ICU and general wards.

As a part of the inspection, General Manager visited the 142 bedded Isolation ward which has been setup exclusively for treating the COVID-19 patients. During the inspection, General Manager also enquired about the facilities available with regard to the isolation wards being developed exclusively for COVID19 patients with 100 beds capacity at Railway Hospital, Vijayawada and 42 beds capacity at Railway Hospital, Guntakal.

On this Occasion, Gajanan Mallya expressed his happiness for the facilities being developed by railways to combat with novel Corona virus and appreciated yeomen service rendered by Doctors and Paramedical staff in the hour of need. General Manager instructed the railway officials to ensure the availability of sufficient stock of all the necessary medical equipment and medicines in the hospitals for treating the needy.(Maxim News)
