Gachibowli Police Issue Notice to Manne Krishank Over AI-Generated Content
Hyderabad, April 7 (Maxim News): The Gachibowli police have issued notices to BRS leader Manne Krishank alleging his involvement in creating and disseminating misleading content related to the Kancha Gachibowli land dispute.
Authorities claim that Krishank utilized Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to produce deceptive videos and images, which were then shared on social media platforms.
The notices mandate that Krishank appear for questioning at the Gachibowli police station on April 9, 10, and 11. This action follows a complaint by NSUI leader B. Arundwaj Reddy, who accused BRS IT cell members of circulating morphed videos intended to mislead the public regarding the land issue.
In response to the spread of AI-generated misinformation, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to petition the court for a comprehensive investigation into the origin and dissemination of such content. The Chief Minister emphasized the potential risks posed by AI-driven misinformation to democratic systems and national security.
The Kancha Gachibowli land dispute has garnered significant attention, with various stakeholders expressing concerns over environmental and developmental implications. The circulation of misleading AI-generated content has further intensified the controversy, prompting legal actions and calls for stricter regulations on digital content creation and dissemination.
