Kothagudem/Hyderabad, Jan 30 (Maxim News): Officials of the Anti-Narcotics Department from Hyderabad have caught three persons smuggling ganja in a car and seized ganja weighing 81.95 kg.
The accused Madvi Nanda of Sukma district, Chhattisgarh, Pandaga Venkateswarlu, and his brother Pandaga Ramulu of Sompally village in Burgampad Mandal in the district transporting the cannabis were taken into custody and questioned.
The ganja seized was worth Rs. 20.25 lakh. The accused seized ganja and the car was handed over to Bhadrachalam town police station for further investigation, according to a statement from the police.
Venkateswarlu and his brother Ramulu were said to be the scribed working for different vernacular newspapers locally while Ramulu was the president of Burgampad Press Club. (Maxim News)
