Gauri Khan to visit Aryan Khan in jail

Mumbai, Oct. 25: After Shah Rukh Khan visited son Aryan Khan in prison last week, Gauri Khan will be meeting her son today. According to a report, she will be arriving at the Arthur Road jail on Monday afternoon for the in-person meeting. Aryan Khan’s bail application is listed for hearing in the Bombay High Court for tomorrow. After his arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 3, Aryan got a chance to connect with his parents via video call. Incidentally, today is also Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri’s 30 th wedding anniversary.

According to the latest developments, Prabhakar Sail, the personal bodyguard of witness K P Gosavi, has leveled a series of allegations against the agency’s zonal director Sameer Wankhede.

His accusations include discussions of a payoff to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials. Reacting to the same, NCB’s zonal director Sameer Wankhede wrote to Mumbai police commissioner expressing fear that he may be framed in a case.

“It has come to my notice that some precipitate legal action for framing me falsely is being planned by unknown persons in relation to the alleged vigilance issue,” said Wankhede, adding that the NCB deputy director general, Mutha Jain, has referred the matter to the director general of NCB for necessary action. NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede also appeared before the Special NDPS court and told the judge that he was being targeted, along with his sister and deceased mother. He stated that he was ready for a probe.

Aryan Khan was arrested with seven others during a drugs bust on a luxury cruise. His lawyers have argued that he was not in possession of any contraband. But the NCB lawyer opposed Aryan’s bail on the grounds of alleged WhatsApp chats that indicate an international drugs racket.
