Kolkata/Hyderabad, May 23 (Maxim News): Vikram Sao‘s name has recently become a hot topic. During his West Bengal election campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stopped for a while in Jhargram and tasted Jhalmuri at a local shop. The shopkeeper gave Vikram Sao ten rupees and bought spices. He chatted with those who reached there after the Prime Minister’s arrival and distributed Jhalmuri. A few days after the incident, Vikram Sao was reported to have received threats from unknown persons. Vikram Sao said on Saturday that he had received threats to kill him. He immediately filed a complaint with the police, which provided him security.
West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh has reacted to the reports of threats against Jhargram-based jhalmuri vendor Vikram Sao. He said that such attempts to create tension in the country will have to be dealt with sternly. He said that some people are taking such steps to disrupt peace. But he said that those days are gone, now it is their government and we will respond very strongly.
The Prime Minister’s whirlwind tour of West Bengal during the election campaign has sparked an interesting reaction across the country after he stopped at a roadside stall and bought jhalmuri and ate it. However, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee criticized the Prime Minister for his pre-planned stop and said that it was all a drama. She said that he did this to benefit from the election campaign.
