GHMC Commissioner Holds Meeting With Political Parties On Revision Of Electoral Rolls

Hyderabad, Jan.8 (Maxim News): GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar held review meeting with the political parties in connection with the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2020.

The DEO informed the political parties that the Electoral Registration Officers of 15 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad District have published the Draft Photo Electoral Rolls on December 16, 2019 in the manner prescribed by the Election Commission of India and 30,040 claims and objections were received up to Tuesday January 7, 2020, including 26,214 online and 3,916 physical, out of which, 4,140 were disposed, 2,691 accepted, 1,449 rejected and 25,900 pending.

Regarding Dabeerpura Ward Elections, the DEO said there are 49,445 voters and there will be below 800 voters in every booth. The last date for filing nominations is January 10 before 5pm at Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Malakpet Circle Office. Stating that National Voters Day celebrations will be organized on January 25, the DEO requested the representative of all political parties to participate actively in the celebrations. (Maxim News)
