GHMC Division: IAS Srijana Assumes Charge In Cyberabad
GHMC Division | Hyderabad, Feb. 11: The Telangana government has taken a key decision to improve urban governance by dividing GHMC into three separate municipal corporations.
As part of the Division, the government formed Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri as independent civic bodies.
IAS officer Srijana has assumed charge as the first Commissioner of the newly formed Cyberabad Municipal Corporation.
Senior IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan has also been appointed as the special officer for the three corporations.
With this restructuring, the administration aims to strengthen governance in the expanding metropolitan region.
GHMC Division Creates Cyberabad Municipal Corporation
Following the GHMC Division, Commissioner Srijana will oversee administration and development in the IT Corridor and key areas of West Hyderabad.

The Cyberabad region, known as a major IT hub, faces challenges such as traffic management, waste management, and infrastructure improvement. Therefore, her role will be crucial in addressing these issues.
IAS Srijana, a 2013 batch officer, has earned recognition for her administrative work. Earlier, she served as Commissioner of GVMC in Visakhapatnam. She also worked as District Collector in Kurnool and NTR districts.
During the Covid period, she returned to duty just 22 days after childbirth and carried out her responsibilities. Her appointment as Cyberabad Commissioner marks a significant step under the GHMC Division aimed at enhancing civic administration.
