GHMC Elections 2020 on 1st Dec
Nominations will be accepted from tomorrow...till Nov 21. GHMC polls would be held as per the legal acts. Reservations would be implemented as per last elections
Hyderabad: The schedule for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections has been released here on Tuesday.
Election Commissioner Parthasarathy while releasing the schedule, said that the filing of nominations would begin from November 18. Polling for the GHMC would be held on December 1 and counting would be done on December 4. Results would be declared the same day.
The last day filing of nominations is November 20 and the scrutiny of nomination papers would be done on November 21. The last day for withdrawal of nomination is November 24.
It is to mention here that the TRS and Opposition parties are fully geared up for the elections. The KCR government announced sops to various sections of the society in view of the GHMC polls. The party leaders and corporators had laid foundation stones for various development works and also inaugurated the completed programmes.
All the TRS MLAs have been asked to ensure that they should ensure victory in all the divisions under their purview.
Meanwhile, the BJP, buoyed by the victory in the recent Dubbak bypolls, is considering the Hyderabad local body polls prestigious. The party cadre are confident that they would repeat the performance they registered in the Dubbak Assembly segment.
Asaduddin owaisi‘s party AIMIM has also asked the interested party workers to submit a form at the party headquarters for the ticket for GHMC Elections 2020.
