GHMC Mayor Inspects Modern Slaughter House At Chengicherla
Hyderabad, Dec.9 (Maxim News): Greater Hyderabad Mayor Dr. Bonthu Rammohan along with EX MLC Mohammed Saleem, Commissioner GHMC Lokesh Kumar and Zonal Commissioner Upender Reddy inspected the rendering plant in Modern Slaughter House at Chengicherla here today.
Speaking on the occasion, .Rammohan Said the Rendering plant was built with the estimated cost of 191.7 crore. Of this, the Government of India’s grant was Rs.68.6 crore, he said. The mayor said that 2.86 Acres land was allotted by Animal Husbandry Department for its construction.
He said that the animal waste generated from the slaughter houses, from Amberpet, New Bhoiguda and Ramnaspur apart from Chicken and Mutton shops etc would transported to the rendering plant and added that the animal waste would be processed and converted into by products and used as feed in aquaculture and poultry farm, He said that processed waste would be used in Soap manufacturing units, industries and in lubricants. The capacity of the plant 80 MT per day. With the rendering plant the throwing of animal waste in open spaces and in nalas will be controlled as well as pollution, he noted.
The Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr. P. Venkateshwer Reddy, S.E. Venkatramana and from Ramky Guotham Reddy and other participated in the visit. (Maxim News)
