GHMC, which bagged the Best State Capital in the ‘Solid Waste Management’ category, was ranked 27th among cities with over one lakh population under the Swachh Survekshan 2018.
Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri presented the award to Mayor Bonthu Rammohan in Indore on Saturday. This year, the contest got even bigger with the participation of 4,041 cities. Of these, Hyderabad was clubbed with 500 other cities, which have over one lakh population. The Swachh Survekshan teams will conduct independent surveys, observations and interactions.
