Godavari Flood Reduced In Bhadrachalam
Bhadrachalam/Hyderabad, July 29 (Maxim News): The flow in the Godavari river has reduced slightly at Bhadrachalam. At present the water level of Godavari is 52.2 feet, with this, the officials lifted the third danger alert.
A second emergency alert is currently in effect. As the flood continues, officials advise people in flooded areas to be alert. It is known that many people have already been moved to rehabilitation centers in the wake of the floods. At present the authorities are alert and are monitoring the flood in Godavari river from time to time. Meanwhile, due to the recent torrential rains, projects in the Godavari basin were heavily flooded.
Presently, as the rains are reducing, the inflow is also decreasing. The flood surge has subsided for the Sriramsagar project in Nizamabad district. At present the inflow to the reservoir is 8,100 cusecs. The outflow is 8100 cusecs. At present the water storage capacity is 83.81 tmc.
The full water storage capacity is 90 tmc. also, the inflow into the Nizamsagar project in the Kamareddy district has also decreased. While the inflow is 4800 cusecs, the same amount of water is being released downstream. the water storage capacity is 17.34 tmc. The current water storage capacity is 17.80 tmc. (Maxim News)
