Good News For Those Who Install Solar Power Projects On Their Homes
Hyderabad, April 12 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has good news for those who want to install solar power projects on their homes. Under the PM Suryagarh Muft Bijli Yojana, it has decided to set up 2 kilowatt capacity projects on 20 lakh homes by March 2027.
It is estimated that an additional 4 thousand megawatts of current can be provided through this. While the center will provide subsidies upto 3 kilowatt projects, the rest will be available for loans from banks and financial institutions. Details of banks and financial institutions are available on the national portal for those who want to get loans related to this scheme.
It is estimated that the cost of the 2 KV project will be Rs. 1.10 lakhs. The central government will provide a subsidy of Rs. 60 thousand, while the remaining 50 thousand will have to be borne by the consumers.
The 2 KV project will generate 240 units of electricity per month. The rest of it will be sent to the grid for household needs. The current units supplied to the grid every month are calculated and the DISCOMs will give it to the consumers at the rate of Rs. 2.09 per unit.
First, you have to register on the national portal with a thousand rupees. You have to submit an application to the DISCOM along with the electricity bill, bank details and address proof. After registration, once the details of the M-Panel companies are displayed, you have to select a company.
Once an agreement is reached with the vendor, the subsidy will be given and the remaining amount should be taken as a loan from the bank. Once the project is completed, the related photos should be uploaded. The subsidy provided by the center will be credited to the bank account within 15 days of completing this process.
The Telangana government is already providing 200 units of free electricity to SC and ST households every month. Out of this, there are 20.18 lakh electricity connections.
The state government will provide an additional Rs. 50 thousand for each connection, in addition to the Rs. 60 thousand subsidy given by the center for newly established 2 KV projects. It is reported that the authorities are already identifying the houses that have the opportunity to set up these projects and are inviting applications. (Maxim News)
