Governor greets people on Bakrid festival

Hyderabad, July 9 (Maxim News): Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has conveyed greetings to people on the occasion of Bakrid festival to be celebrated on Sunday.

“Bakrid festival symbolises the spirit of sacrifice and supreme devotion.

The festival also has a special place in Islamic faith and it marks the spirit of sharing, charity with great reverence, and helping the needy,” Tamilisai said.

The Governor said the celebration of festival further strengthens the spirit of brotherhood, service, and sacrifice and added that Bakrid in true spirit promotes the peace, harmony, cooperation, compassion, and amity in the society. (Maxim News)
