Governor inaugurates 35th national Sailing Competitions
Hyderabad, Aug.13 (Maxim News): Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan today stated that Sailing is a tough game. She inaugurated 35th national Sailing Competitions at Hussain Sagar here in the city. Speaking on the occasion the Governor appreciated the teams and officials for the national games of Sailing. She said that Sailing is a tough game and the sailors and sports persons are to tide over similar challenges in life. The sports persons wade out of the speedy winds to reach the target and sail, she said. Likewise the people have to face and face several challenges and problems, the Governor said.
She congratulated the teams which came from other states of the country to the city for the national competitions. Tamilisai Soundararajan wished the sportspersons to get training and win more medals and bring laurels to India.
The Governor later gave prizes to winners of sailing in the Olympics including Netra Kumaran and Vishnu Sharavanan. Tamilisai also cleansed the premises on the occasion and created awareness on keeping the lake clean. (Maxim News)
