Govt. Efforts To Restore Glory Of The Ancient Buildings: Commissioner
Hyderabad, September 01: GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose said that the government has taken steps to restore the glory of the old buildings which are famous for tourism in Old Basti. On Friday, Commissioner CCP Rajendra Prasad Naik, Kuli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority Secretary Shankar Lal, CE Guruveera, EE Shankar and Zonal Commissioner Venkanna inspected the proposed works to be undertaken on many famous ancient buildings in the city.
First, Commissioner Dharur Shifa (Old MCH Office) inspected the site where Icon Bridge will be constructed opposite Sardar Mahal, Charminar Old Bus Stand Murgi Chowk, Khurshid Jha Devi, Salar Jung Museum. He ordered to complete the renovation works of Murgi Chowk Sardar Mahal at an estimated cost of Rs.30 crore each on war footing.
The officials were directed to take steps for the development of Charminar Old Bus Stand on BOT method.
Khurshid Jha Devi ordered to complete the tender process for the works to be undertaken with an estimate of Rs.12 crores. He said that Icon Bridge will be taken up at Salarjung Museum at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore on both sides.
