Govt Harassing Farmers At Paddy Purchase Centers: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad, Dec.31 (Maxim News): Former minister and Congress MLA Duddilla Sridhar Babu here on Tuesday alleged that the State government was harassing the farmers. He also alleged that the officials were creating problems to the farmers at purchase centers.

Stating that the much publicized Rythu Bandhu scheme had become an election related scheme, he alleged that the State government, which implemented the scheme during the Huzurnagar by-election did not implement it in the neighboring constituency.

Speaking to mediapersons, Sridhar Babu said the farmers were worried a lot about the rabi crops. He said the faulty policies of the State government had deprived the farmers from availing the bank loans. He demanded that the State government change its attitude at least now.

Commenting on the Chief Minister’s statement at Karimnagar, Sridhar Babu asked the former whether the mid-Manair project didn’t receive water from Sripada Sagar project. He also asked whether the CM gave water to even a single acre of land through his pet project Kaleswaram lift irrigation project. (Maxim News)
