Govt Issues Orders To Pay Compensation To Kin Of 243 Deceased Farmers

Hyderabad, Aug.1 (Maxim News): The State Government today issued orders to provide compensation to kin of 243 farmers, who committed suicides during 2019-20 due to distress farming. On the directive of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the officials concerned have taken steps to provide financial succor to 243 families of the farmers in the State. Revenue officials issued an order in this regard while each farmer’s family will get Rs 6 lakh towards compensation.

The Revenue department has sanctioned Rs 14.58 crore for providing financial assistance to the kin of deceased farmers. The State government will soon release the funds to help those families in 24 districts, including Nalgonda district which has 45 families to get help. (Maxim News)
