Govt to acquire land for development of the Ramappa Temple
Hyderabad, Aug.3 (Maxim News): State Government today began steps to protect historic structures of Ramappa Temple after getting UNESCO’s heritage tag. The Government to prepare an action plan to develop the site by taking over 27 acres land at the site. The district officials concerned will acquire land and provide necessary help to the owners financially.
Tourism and Culture Minister Srinivas Goud has stated that they will acquire necessary land for development of the Ramappa Temple. District collector SP and revenue officials will coordinate to acquire land Ramappa Temple Development along with other two temples nearby.
After visiting the site and taking the glimpse of the temples and cultural heritage the Minister said that the district officials were asked to get land to protect the sure and develop.
As UNESCO offered world heritage structure tag recently the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is keen to develop it on world class structure to be a great cultural destination.
Goud has visited the site along with other ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman B Vinod Kumar, MP M Kavitha, MLA Seethakka and officials concerned.
They performed special pujas to Rudreshwara Swamy to mark the occasion. Later they told reporters that the collector and other officials were instructed to start action to get land and to develop it as a world heritage structure. We plan to workout modalities as to how the site be developed they said.
KCR Government takes care of it as the successive Governments ignored to develop it the ministers claimed. The people who have lands nearby this structure have to give them for heritage structure Development they urged. The Government will give them compensation and financial assistance to the land acquisition in this regard. There will be no injustice done to the land donors for the purpose they said. We are happy that UNESCO’s heritage structure tag was accorded fir world class development.
The Government prepares a plan and committees will continue to meet for its development in near future. Telangana state will have this as the favourite International tourist attraction they said. It may be said here that recently the High Court today instructed the state government to form a committee of officials to protect the temple.
The Court directed for an official committee to meet on August 4 and start working on developing the site as an international tourist destination. Ramappa Temple has to be developed with facilities and upkeep as per instructions of UNESCO, the court said.
The bench of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Vijaysen Reddy heard the case and instructed the government to start working on the site development with international facilities.
The Court directed to give a report in four weeks and send an official team to the historic structure. It has to develop with international facilities for the tourists with all facilities, the court said and added to monitor the same.
Following the court orders the government steps into action and ministers made a visit to the site. (Maxim News)
